Russ is currently completly absorbed in all the latest everythings in wedding photography at the 2009 WPPI (Wedding and Portrait Photographers International) Convention in Las Vegas. Some samples are at the link adjoining this (brief) posting. More to report upon my return.
Russ entered seven items into the 2009 Maine Professional Photographer's Association print and album competition this past weekend of January 24-27, 2009, and came home with seven ribbons. Four of tjhe seven were RED. These were Russ' first-ever photography competiions, despite 32 years of experience. Of special note, his highest scorng print was taken in Belize during the wedding of Heather and Marc in April 2008 (see below) and the album (book) red ribbon went to the album of Alli and Nick's wedding at Saddleback Mtn. from September 2008, the same wedding that was covered in Down East magazine. A special exhibit of these awards and prints has been set up in the studio.

Well, as simple as these blogs are to post our really busy summer schedule still makes it difficult. What a summer! Every year we manage to continue to get bookings at fantastic events! Above are a few samples. I am keeping my "Peek at Real Weddings" link from wed-pix.com reasonably updated, with "mini-shows" from many of the recent weddings posted. With help from assistant and contract photographers Angi, Bob, Monica, Sarah, and Mike and Shelley we are having the best year yet. Stay tuned.
